The new 2018 Subaru Outback made its official debut in mid-April at the 2017 New York International Auto Show. The crossover arrives new and improved for the latest model year with plenty of styling and technology updates designed to stay ahead of the curve. Drivers can look forward to a refined driving experience behind the wheel of the new Subaru Outback.
The most notable changes to the new and improved Outback are enhanced styling cues. The popular crossover receives wider and lower grille openings as well as a new bumper. C-shaped headlights are new to the model as well, as are the steering-adaptive LED headlights. Off-roaders, rejoice! The Outback also receives new protective coverings designed to protect the underside of the car.
Drivers will enjoy premium materials matched by a redesigned center console. An available eight-inch touchscreen will offer access to more advanced technologies, like Nuance voice recognition software. The new Outback will also receive Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Last, but certainly not least, the 2018 Subaru Outback comes loaded with an upgraded suspension that includes returned steering and braking systems. Engineers took attention to detail seriously, from making upgrades to the transmission to reshaping the exterior mirrors for reduced wind noise. The end result is a crossover designed to dominate the road.
